Custom Board-on-Board Cedar Fence for a Dog Training Facility

For this project, our team at Sunno Construction partnered with a homeowner in Molalla, Oregon, who also operates a dog training business on their multi-acre property. The goal was to create a fence that provided the security and durability needed to safely contain dogs, while also enhancing the appearance of the property and creating a professional first impression for arriving clients. We designed and built a custom board-on-board cedar fence using pre-stained, clear cedar 5/8-inch fence boards, pressure-treated rails, and PostMaster steel posts for long-term strength and durability. A 2×6 rough-cut cedar top rail, stained to match, completed the fence with a clean, high-end finish.

To handle the daily demands of the dog training facility, we also built four heavy-duty custom gates using welded steel frames, 4×4 Highlander powder-coated steel gate posts, and premium heavy-duty hinges for smooth operation and long-term reliability. The finished fence combines privacy, strength, functionality, and natural cedar beauty, making it well suited for both residential use and the demands of a working business. This project is a great example of how Sunno Construction combines premium materials, thoughtful design, and durable construction to create a finished product that performs as well as it looks.
